Moderator’s Diary

The Minister of Palmerston Place Church, Colin Sinclair, is currently the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland (referred to as the Moderator).

Colin will be traveling all over Scotland and beyond to carry out his official duties.

Wednesday 4 December – Visit to Saltyard, Record Christmas message

Thursday 5 December- Moderator to visit Go for it Projects

Friday 6 December – Lunch with Primus Mark Strange and Dr Pickering in Lord Provost’s suite. Reception in celebration of 550th anniversary of the birth of Guru Nanak, Founder of Sikhism. New College annually invite the Moderator to lead their Carol Service, followed by reception

Saturday7 December – Travel to Aberdeen  Athol Hotel 54 Kings; Gate

Sunday 8 December – Preaching at Summerhill Aberdeen. Grampian Hospital Carol Concert

Thursday 12 or Friday 13 December – Faith leaders meeting, SABS

Sunday 15 December – Canongate Kirk

Tuesday 17 December – 3pm Speak at 121 Carol Service

Wednesday 18 December – Ministers Fraternal Christmas lunch

Thursday 19 December – Meet Scottish Refugee Council in Glasgow,

Sunday 12th- Preach at PP. Lunch for Norma Rolls retiring Session Clerk. Preach at Moodiesburn for NCD coming to full status Mark Malcolm

Saturday 18 January – Grasping the Nettle Council of Advisers

Sunday 19 January Sandyford-Henderson – preach and do the children’s talk.  A congregational lunch after the service.

Monday 20 January – travel to London to House of Lords. Give keynote speech at Reception for Senior Faith leaders and Parliamentarians to encourage Christian observation of the Holocaust Memorial Day

Thursday 23 January – Spring Harvest leaders 11-2

Sunday 26 January – Glasgow. Tour and preach at Lodging House Mission

Monday 27 January – House of Lords for National Holocaust Day

Tuesday 28 January – Visit to Glasgow University.  Meeting with staff and      students, preach in the Chapel and celebrate Communion.  In the evening the Principal hosts a private dinner,.
