The Sunflower Café was started in 2016 by Palmerston Place Church.

The Sunflower Café is a place for people to come and meet and share together in activities.

The Sunflower Café offers a welcoming and caring environment for those struggling with issues of memory loss and for their carers, to enjoy companionship and stimulating activity.

The Café is held every month on the third Wednesday of the month, with the exception of December when all are invited to our Lunchtime Carol Service. The Café meets in the Sanctuary at Palmerston Place Church from 2pm – 3.30pm.

The activities that are provided are varied – we have had fun with some of the Memory boxes from the Living Memory Association including toys and games from childhood. There was an introduction to Indian dance (taken through the basic dance moves while seated), there have been tea parties, flower arranging, Scottish music and also Sport.
