Welcome to Palmerston Place Church online

PPC is fully open for worship and full details are on our ‘Latest’ news page. You can find all about our services on our ‘Worship’ page.

We have never stopped providing pastoral care and support throughout the pandemic. Our Ministerial Team remains available for bereavement support and the conducting of funeral services. Please visit the website on a regular basis for updates – the ‘latest news’ page will go into detail.

Palmerston Place is a forward thinking church which is always looking at how it serves those around it – this is reflected in its aim of “Bringing Christian Worship, Fellowship and Service to the heart of everyday life”. We are located between Princes Street and Haymarket at 12 Palmerston Place.

Sunday Worship is typically at 10.30am (from 11am due to the parking changes made by the council) and 7pm (there are no 7pm services in July and August). On a typical Sunday we have close to 160 people at the morning service and around 40 people at the evening service. On a Sunday morning we have a Crèche and a number of groups for children and young people.

PPC has a reputation of biblical preaching and music is a mixture of traditional and new. Our Minister is the Very Rev Colin Sinclair who has been with us since 1996. Colin completed his year as the the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland and has returned to PPC.

You can listen to the sermons by going to the ‘Sermons’ page. Our sermon archive is also available.

During the week we have a wide range of groups and activities from a Baby & Toddler Group (meets during School term-time), to a Friendship Club for Over 60s to the monthly Sunflower Café for those struggling with the issue of memory loss and their carers. We also have a number of stand-alone events. Please look at the ‘Activities’ section of the website and ‘This Month @PPC’. In addition to the Sanctuary at Number 12, we have our Annan House building, located at 10 Palmerston Place, which is home to the Church Office, meeting rooms and offices leased to several charitable organisations.
