Welcome to PPC

Hello, we are glad you have found Palmerston Place Church online – we are part of the united parish of Gorgie and Palmerston Place Church of Scotland.

You can find all about our services on our ‘Worship’ page.

Palmerston Place is a forward thinking church which is always looking at how it serves those around it – this is reflected in its aim of “Bringing Christian Worship, Fellowship and Service to the heart of everyday life”. We are located between Princes Street and Haymarket at 12 Palmerston Place. Our Ministerial Team is available for pastoral and bereavement support and the conducting of funeral services. Please visit the website on a regular basis for updates.

Sunday Worship is typically at 10.30am and 7pm (there are no 7pm services in July and August). On a typical Sunday we have up to 100 people at the morning service, in-person and online, and around 40 people at the evening service. On a Sunday morning we have a Crèche and activities for children and young people. There are also activities throughout the week.

PPC has a long reputation of good biblical preaching and teaching. Worship music is a mixture of traditional and new. Our previous minister was the Very Rev Colin Sinclair who had been with us since 1996 until his retirement in June 2022. Details of our full current ministerial team are found here.

You can watch services live (via Zoom) or recorded for catch-up on YouTube. Audio recordings of sermons are found on the ‘Sermons’ page. Our sermon archive is also available.

During the week we have a wide range of groups and activities from a Baby & Toddler Group (meets during School term-time), to a Friendship Club for Over 60s (meets every second Thursday at 2pm). We also have a number of stand-alone events. Please look at the ‘Activities’ section of the website.

In addition to the Sanctuary at Number 12, we have our Annan House building, located next door at 10 Palmerston Place, which is home to the Church Office, meeting rooms and offices leased to several charitable organisations.
